Dear Tony,
I enjoyed reading the reactions of your readers. One thing I discovered is one reader sent her observation on Chicago at the same time mentioning her poet husband’s name with initial FG David. If I am not mistaken, Ethel’s husband could be “FREDI GUSTO” David a classmate in Professor Armando Malay’s 1959 Journalism Class in UP Diliman. Among my classmates the most notable is JOMA SISON.
If this correct, thanks for indirectly getting me “connected”.

[’Tony’ is Mr Tony Abaya, the well-known columnist of Manila Standard Today, who emails his columns to his readers, fortunately, including me. Mr Abaya also emails some of his readers’ reactions to certain columns. One time, Mr Abaya wrote ‘Letter from Chicago’, to which I replied along with some recollections. My letter, where I mentioned that I married the poet FG David, elicited the above letter from one of FG’s classmates in his Journalism class. I have invited Mr Luzadas to post his recollections of FG in this website, or, if that’s not possible, to send it to me and I’ll take care of posting it.]
