Dad, at his high school graduation

In a photo I had never before seen:

Thanks to our mom

– his soul mate, if there really is one,

for bringing home the picture;

 to our brother

– his first-born son

who prompted the visit;

and to our Aunt

– his dear sister

for preserving the photo

and letting us share this glimpse

of who he was

before he became

everything

we later knew him to be
