I’d like to acknowledge and thank the students and colleagues of fg for their blogs, which we’ve included here. Often, due to time pressure, I’ve simply cut and pasted their entries on fg, instead of more properly asking their permission first, which, being given, would then enable me to post their entries. I hope that posting their links and/or sites properly gives them the credit due them.
I’d also like to thank my children, Efraim, for his idea of a website to honor the memory of his father; Cyril, for developing this website and occasionally correcting the glitches that arise from its use; Ferri, for posting all the photos that you see here and contributing articles often; Bryn, for her ideas, like changing the look of the site upon its one-year anniversary and for her other contributions; and Vey and Xen, for their articles. I’d also like to thank Guido and Avi for their help in the real world, which gives me free time and enables me to post articles here.
Now that we’re about to enter another year, one that is predicted to be fraught with problems in the wake of the global financial crises, still, we remain hopeful, what with the new president in the U.S., who is universally expected to bring about a newer world order. No one expects easy and pat solutions, least of all him, but we, along with him, are audacious enough to hope.
