It’s too bad that I can now only look back to those nightly long walks to V. Mapa from the U.P. Now, I do my walking by myself. One advantage of my walking alone is that I can take the most mindless routes, without anyone admonishing me for my quaint and risky ventures, as I used to do in my youth. I still enjoy my lonely walks, but without the drive and gallop and prance of colt, without the run of even an aging stallion. I just walk, as if walking is my end and time is at a stand still, or destination is not part of going.
